Kundapur: The officials of the Department of Labour and members of Spoorthi Dhama of Kedur were successful in rescuing four children including three girls and a boy who under someone’s pressure were seeking alms after posing themselves as deaf and dumb in various parts of the town. The children were rescued following a direction from Deputy Commissioner MT Reju to that effect.
The children are said to be from Bangalore and spoke Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and are said to be belonging to some families of vagabonds which lived in make shift tents at Trasi. The kids also revealed to the authorities that they were forced to beg by a man who would snatch their earnings and spend it on alcohol. They also had a printed card with the name of a Hyderabad court asking public to aid them.
