Mangalore : “The failure of the BJP to expel former CM Yeddyurappa from the party despite him facing several charges, reveals the failure of the party to be accountable to the people,” said B Madhava, CPI (M) District unit Secretary.
He was addressing a protest organized by his party in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangalore on May 14, Monday to demand the resignation of Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda and his cabinet colleagues in the wake of the series of scandals that have hit the BJP government.
Madhava said the CM was overburdened with over 20 portfolios and added the administrative machinery in the state has come to a standstill.
Several party leaders and workers took part in the protest.
