Mangalore : Ujwal Kumar, Country Head, CQM Quality Management Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi has said that consumers have every right to take any food sample to the nearest government officer for a test and are also eligible for a reward if their complaints are found true.

He was addressing a training on ‘Food Safety and Standards Act 2006’ under the auspices of the Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Mangalore on May 16, Wednesday. He also emphasized the need for consumers to be enlightened on the provisions of the  Food Safety and Standards Act (FSSA) 2006.

Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Latha Kini, several KCCI office bearers and a large number of public took part in the programme.
