Mangalore : It is necessary to build the gap between the people who provide medical services and administration, hence the qualities like finance, manpower, quality control and quality accreditation are must in the hospital administration, said Dr Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University.
He was speaking after inaugurating national conference ‘Horizon 2010: Creating synergy in healthcare for excellence,’ organized by Father Muller’s Centre for Hospital Administration (FMCHA) at the hospital premises on August 5, Thursday.
He also said that managing the hospital is not the responsibility of a doctor, but it must be handed over to the person who can professionally manage and concentrate it all the time.
Rev Dr Oswald A J Mascarenhas, Chairman of St Aloysius College AIMIT said that Quality leads a company to the top most level and brings increase in the economic growth of companies in international markets.
Rev Fr Patrick Rodrigues, Director of Father Muller Charitable Institution presided over the function and said that, the previous medical system is changing with the introduction of innovative modern technologies.
An Exhibition on innovative health care equipment was also displayed at the venue.
