Mulki : A second time failure in the SSLC examination drove a student from near Mulki to the extreme step of ending his life on May 18, Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Vishwas Poojari (16). It is learnt, Vishwas, a student of KPSK High School of Panjinadka after failing in four subjects last year, had attended a private tutorial and appeared for the exams this year.

But the second time failure, upset him greatly, leading to his suicide by hanging himself. He ended his life when there was no one in the house.

Mulki police are conducting the investigations.
