Mangalore : In a surprising move, a team of MCC officials raided as many as 18 Pani Puri stalls at several places in the city including Kottara, Urvastores and Ladyhill on May 21, Monday. Raids also took place in Suratkal. The raiding team was led by MCC health inspector Bharath.
It is believed that the raids followed a recent revelation made by the owner of Kailas Bhel Centre who runs as many as 70 stalls in and around the city that he had paid to the MCC to run these stalls.
Reports say the raids will continue until the stall owner comes out with the truth on the issue.
