Mangalore : As many as five vehicles were damaged in a bizarre accident that took place after an over speeding Maruti Omni man in its bid to overtake a goods lorry overturned and landed on the other side of the road after crossing the divider near Nanthur junction in Mangalore on the afternoon of May 24, Thursday.

It is learnt, the mishap took place after the driver lost control over the vehicle. The driver who was thrown out of the vehicle due to the impact of the accident, was later admitted to the hospital. He is said to be out of danger.

The most interesting part of this accident has been that no sooner the Maruti Omni landed on the  other side of the  road, a tempo and a Bolero coming from the other direction, collided against it and soon a speeding Innova too followed suit.

Kadri police  have registered a case.
