Mangalore : The officials of Mangalore City Corporation conducted a raid at Saibeen Complex and closed down nine shops on May 25, Friday for not possessing trade license.
The MCC team included the tax officers and health inspectors closed down the garments and mobiles shops, which was being run on a single license, but dealing with different types of businesses.
Many shopkeepers pulled their shutters down and vanished from the mall before the team approached them.
Around 50 shops in Saibeen Complex closed as the officials entered the mall.
MCC health inspector Bharath Kumar, said that the team will conduct another raid on in the following week at the same mall.
