Mangalore : Karnataka Komu Souhardha Vedike in association with DK Popular Front India, Protestant Christian Welfare Association, Mangalore Central Committee and other association staged protest in front of DC Office on June 1, Friday against the saffronisation of Police department.

Addressing the protestors, Suresh Bhat Bakrabail of Karnataka Komu Souhardha Vedike said that it is the open secret that the DK police department is in the hands of Rastriya Swayam Sevak Sangha (RSS), but many are not ready to believe this. Most of the police officials in the department act as strange, but the registered social networking site and police blog, itself show the reality.

The police department site has published the RSS march past photo for one year, this shows that either the senior police officers are aware of this advertisement or they do not check the blog due to ignorance and irresponsibility.

Ali Hasan said that the police department handing over the blog to private company like ‘Zest’ for maintenance is itself wrong, since the department will have various secret information. Instead the department should have trained the staff from the department and allow the maintain it.

The police department has the responsibility of protecting law and order in the city. The senior police official with the IPS degree will generally have the knowledge and information of all the communal, anti constitutional, criminal and terrorist party. But the department is supporting the RSS for its anti national activities.

He also said that the Gandhi killer Nathuram Godse was the active member of RSS. Apart from it the various communal clashes including blasts at Malegaon, Makka Masjid, Ajmeer Darga, Sanjotha Express was also done by the members of  RSS and its sister concerns is being known to many. Many sangh parivar members like Purohit, Sadhvi Prajna Singh and Swamy Aseemananda have been arrested in various issues and facing many judicial investigation, in such situation the department has published RSS photo purposely, he said.

He also said that the police department is giving protection to those RSS members who are involved in anti constitutional activities like moral policing, religious conversion harassment and ransom collection, hence they urged them to punish those members and ban Hindu outfits and suspend the police officials who protect them and work for them.

Mohammed Kakkinje, Pattabhirama Somayaj, CN Shett, Vishnumurth, Azeez Kudroli and Satish Pengal were present at the protest.
