Puttur : Two young women, both childhood friends, united in death too in a tragic incident reported from Karmalu near here. The girls ended their lives by jumping into a well unable to live away from each other.

The deceased Sharanya and Ramya were former students of Vivekananda College. If Sharanya was an engineering student, Ramya was undergoing a computer course.

It is reported that  Sharanya’s mother had on Sunday told her to  learn to live without her friend as they will have to part some day.

However, Sharanya was hurt by this  and the girls reportedly chose to end their lives.
