Mangalore: Amaranarayana, Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department visited the sea erosion affected areas of Ullal and has directed the Fisheries and Ports Department as well as the district administration to frame an action plan for emergency measures to prevent erosion and to make alternate arrangements for stay to those families which are willing to evacuate from the erosion prone areas of Kilerianagar, Subhashnagar, Mogaveerapatna and Kotepura. The sea in Ullal has turned rough and huge waves are hitting at houses in the vicinity of the shores.

He said he would request the government to release funds required for he purpose. Local MLA UT Khader, PWD Executive Engineer Gopal Naik, Ports Department Executive Engineer Abhiyanth Rathod., Ullal TMC Chief Basil D’Souza, and others were present.
