Mangalore:  Kadri police have busted a major theft racket with the arrest of  four persons  on June 14, Thursday. The arrests took place in connection with the theft in the house of one Jashwaruddin in Balmatta Mission Compound where valuables worth Rs 6 lakh had been stolen in May.

Those arrested are Kiran (20) of Davangere, Venkatesh (28), Murugesh (20) of Tamil Nadu and Arun Shanmugam Shetty (22) of Thane in  Maharashtra. They were arrested at Kadri.

The recovered valuables include  gold bangles, necklace, rings, mobile phone, Handycam, digital camera and a laptop. A bike without proper documents has also been seized and it is yet to be ascertained if it was also a stolen one.

Investigations are underway.
