Bangalore: Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda has said that the government would take early steps to set up an ultra modern film city in a 300 acre land near Hesaraghatta.
He was speaking after inaugurating a new shooting floor set up at a cost of Rs two crores at Kanteerava Studios on Friday.
He said an agreement had been reached during the Global Investors Meet to have a film city with private participation. The clear picture would emerge in another two months, he said. He also assured all possible co-operation from the government for the film industry.
NR Vishu Kumar, Director of Information Department and Managing Director of Kanteerava Studio, Rudresh, President of Kanteerava Studio, Home Minister Ashok, Bharathi Ashok, Sudha Rani, film actors, Tara, Film Academy Chairperson and others were present.
