Bangalore:  Finally, the Bangalore Police have arrested Pascal Mazurier, an official of the French Consulate here, on the charges of sexually abusing his three and a half year old   daughter from his Indian wife Suja Jones. The arrest came almost days after Suja Jones herself had complained to the police.

The French Consulate has assured all co-operation to the probe and also to remain in touch with the family of the abused child.

Even the Karnataka Commission for Protection of Child Rights (KCPCR) had addressed a letter to the French embassy seeking to provide all facilities to Mazurier’s wife and daughter. Nina P Nayak, Chairperson of the Committee said the French consulate officials have assured assistance to the family.

Suja Jones comes from Kerala and it is learnt she was traumatized on seeing her husband abuse the child. The arrest came after France refused to interfere in the case.
