Mangalore:  Some unidentified miscreants pelted stones at the Holy Hill shrine located at Pumpwell in Mangalore on Sunday night. The incident came to light when some devotees arrived at the shrine as usual on Monday morning to offer their prayers. The altar, flower pots and lights at the shrine have been damaged due to stoning.

Melwyn D’Silva, in-charge of Holy Hill shrine said the police who arrived at the spot well before the media could arrive, have cleaned up the area. The cause of the attack is not known. Investigations are in progress.
