Bangalore : Groupism has reached its peak in the State BJP even as the party high command is yet to come up with a clear cut stand on the demand placed forth by the Yeddy faction for a change In leadership.
If the Yeddy faction is backing rural development minister Jagadish Shettar for the CM post, another faction in the BJP was strongly backing State BJP Chief Eshwarappa.
Meanwhile, rumours are afloat that the high command was keen on choosing Shettar. Close on the heels of such rumours gaining grounds, a faction in the BJP has begun lobbying in favour of Eshwarappa stating that his becoming the CM would be beneficial for the party. It has been reported that state ministers SA Ramdas, S Suresh Kumar, SA Ravindranath, Narayaswamy, MLAs Sogadu Shivanna, Appachu Ranjan, CT Ravi, BC Nagesh and DH Shankermurthi have stood in support of Eshwarappa.
