Mangalore: Under the twin city programme of Mangalore City Corporation, a delegation from the city of Nichinan in Japan will be visiting Mangalore in November this year,
As a prelude to the visit a booklet named “Incredible Mangalore” in Japanese language has been brought out by the Aina Business Promotions Private Ltd. Its Directors Satoru Comori and Haruka have been in the city since some time and the book focuses on the various facets of development of Mangalore as well as its places of tourist importance.
The twin city plan aims at creating strong ties and relationship between the two cities. Nichinan, is a small city in Miyazaki district of Japan and the main occupation of people of this city has been fishing and agriculture. The twin city programme also promotes cultural exchange.
A meeting held in order to make arrangements for the programme was attended among others by MCC Commissioner Dr Harish Kumar, and corporators.
