Kasargod : In a  major tragedy that jolted Chervattur, three including a newly married couple lost their lives and over 30 bus passengers injured in a collision between a jeep and a bus  at Chervattur on Wednesday,July 4.

Those killed are Surfudeen (25) and his wife Humeira(20) who were married just a month ago, and Vincy Johnny.

It has been reported that a bus proceeding towards Kanhangad from Payyanur collided head on with the jeep in which the trio were travelling. They were on way  to Cheemeni from Bedadka after attending a party arranged for them at a relative’s house. The bus had overturned due to the impact of the mishap injuring 30 passengers, four of them critically.

The deceased Surfudeen who worked in the Dubai was to leave for work on July 8, Sunday. Hosadurga police have registered a case.
