New Delhi : Senior BJP Leader LK Advani has finally bowed to pressure from his party men. He is learnt to have given his green signal to install Jagadish Shettar as the CM of Karnataka and Eshwarappa as the Deputy CM.
The only hurdle for Jagadish Shettar to occupy the chief ministerial chair of Karnataka has been finally cleared, with BJP senior leader Lal Krishna Advani, who was opposing leadership change finally giving the nod. Advani, who had earlier preferred fresh mandate to change of leadership in Karnataka, has reportedly agreed to install Jagadish Shettar as the new chief minister in Karnataka.
With Advani’s consent, the last hurdle in Shettar occupying the top post in Karnataka has been cleared. If reports are to be believed, Shettar will be sworn in as CM on July 10.
Even Balachandra Jarakiholi, a strong supporter of Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda held talks with party leaders and is learnt to have agreed to have Shettar as the CM provided his loyalists would get cabinet berths.
Still, without doubt, Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda, even after exit, will remain in public memory for long as one of the most revered and admired chief minister of the state.
