Belthangady: D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala has emphasized the need for technological advancements in the field of agriculture.
He was speaking at the inaugural of a seminar and student project exhibition organized by the Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute of Technology, Ujire and Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) Bangalore at the SDM College of Naturoipathy Sciences at Ujire.
On this occasion, he also pointed out how other nations which gave more importance to farm technology have progressed.
The programme was earlier inaugurated by Prof. B. N Raghunandan, Divisional Chairman, Earth and Environmental Science, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
Prof. S. Prabhakar, Vice President, SDM Education Society, Ujire; and D. Harshendra Kumar, Secretary, SDM Education Society, Ujire, released SPP and Bio-fuel Projects compendium. Dr. S. G Sreekanteshwara Swamy, KSCST, Bangalore, Prof. M. S Mohan Kumar, Secretary, KSCST, Bangalore; Dr. B. Yashovarma, Secretary, SDM Education Society, Ujire; M. G Anatha Prasad, Faculty of SDMIT, Ujire were also present on the occasion.
