Uppinangady: BJP workers and leaders of Puttur gave a rousing reception to former chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda who arrived here on July 16, Monday.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, Gowda evaded replies to queries about his political future and only said that the BJP had given him good positions so far.
The former CM along with his wife visited Sri Sahasralingeshwara Temple and offered prayers, before leaving for Puttur to attend a function there.
To a question if the Shettar government would complete its full term, Sadananda Gowda said the BJP was capable of handling all sorts of crisis. On the controversy over denial of cabinet berth to Halady, Sadananda Gowda clarified that he has not suggested the name of anyone from the district for the cabinet.
The former CM also did not forget to thank all party workers and everyone who had cooperated with him during his tenure.
