Mangalore : A meeting of the RTO officials and representatives of various organizations held at the RTO office in Mangalore on July 20, Friday it was decided to display the telephone number of the city traffic police stations in all city buses in order to enable the public to complain to the police whenever the buses used ear deafening horns.

The meeting also deliberated on various issues including auto fares, the pathetic state of some bus shelters, and the reservation seats in buses for ladies and elderly citizens.

Several members of the public aired their grievances with regard to the public transport system to which the RTO Mallikarjun assured to ensure remedial measures.

Raja Varma of Canara Bus Owner Association, Jayaram Shet of City Transport Owners Association and representatives of various citizens’ organizations took part in the meeting.
