Bangalore: Ullal girl Sahana Kumari, who has been qualified for the London Olympics in the high jump event, was presented a cash award of Rs 5 lakhs by Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar at a function held at his home office Krishna on July 21, Saturday.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Sahana has not yet received the accreditation card from the London Olympics Organizing Committee. It is learnt, the Committee wants Sahana to collect the card in person which she will be able to do once the visa formalities are complete.

However, the AFI officials say  the problem was due to the unexpected qualification of Sahana for the Olympics as they had sent the name of probable’s well before that for the London Olympics Committee
