Moodbidri: A convention of women workers of Moodbidri town unit of the BJP Shakti Kendra was held at the Moodbidri Samaj Mandir on Sunday. Reena Prakash, State Mahila Morcha President, inaugurated the event.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the BJP has been organizing various programmes aimed at empowerment of women. She also called upon women to build a corruption free society.

Leela B  Banjan, President of Moodbidri Mahila Morcha, presided over the function. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, District BJP Chief Padmanabha Kottari, State Mahila Morcha Vice President Sulochana GK Bhat,  Tulu Sahitya Academy President Umanath Kotian, Geetha Acharya, Moodbidri Shakti Kendra President and others were present on the occasion.
