Kollur: A mass special prayer was offered to Goddess Mookambika of Kollur Temple on Friday in the presence of thousands of devotees to pray to Rain God as directed by the Mujrai Department.

Panchamritha Abhisheka, Ksheerabhisheka and Shatarudrabhisheka were offered to the Goddess.

Temple Executive officer MS Maruti, and others were present. Interestingly, it rained very heavily in the region when the pooja was being offered.

The special pooja will continue for seven days and on August 2 Parjanya Kalashabhisheka will be offered to the Goddess.

In Udupi : Special prayers were also offered at the Sri Mahishamardini Temple at Kadiyali, at the initiative of Gokuldas of Udupi TMC. Several devotees were present during the pooja.
