Mangalore: KS Lakshmi, General Secretary of the State unit of the All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA) has chosen to describe Dakshina Kannada district as the most insecure and unsafe district where boys and girls are questioned about their religious background.

Speaking to reporters, Lakshmi referring to the recent home say attack said the assailants had no right to barge in and assault young men and women by taking law into their hands.

She demanded stern action from the government to check such incidents. She at the same time was highly critical for registering FIR against two journalists in connection with the case.

Lakshmi also urged the State Governor to intervene and direct the state government to initiate appropriate steps.

Ramani, Nalinakshi and Sukanya, members of the Association, were also present.
