Mangalore: The disease like Brucellosis is very dangerous which csan affect calves in the district, hence awareness must be creatd on it, said Zilla Panchayat president K T Shailaja Bhat.
Speaking after inaugurating the technical session of National Control Programme on Brucellosis (NCPB) ON Aug 3, Friday, she said that most of the people in the district are aware of this disease anf its symptoms affecting their calves.
The programme was organized by Karnataka Veterinary Association,DK in assoiciation with DK Zilla Panchayat, and DK Cooperative Milk Producers’ Association in Mangalore.
DK Cooperative Milk Producers’ Association Managing Director Ravi Kumar Kakade, said that the Association annually holds the financial dealings of Rs.400 crore annually.
Dr. G Shivananda, President, Karnataka Veterinary Association, Navin Kumar Monala, member, Agriculture and Industry Standing Committee, DK Zilla Panchayat, DK, Raviraj Hegde Kodavoor, President, DK Cooperative Milk Producers’ Association, were present.
