Udupi : State Minister for Ports and Mujrai Kota Srinivas Poojari inaugurated the developmental works of the Mangodu Pond in Kadekar village on August 4, Saturday. The project will be undertaken by the Department of Water Resources.
Speaking on the occasion, Poojari said the state government was committed to the development of ponds and lakes of temple. He said the Mangodu Pond would be developed at a cost of Rs 30 lakhs.
Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat presided over the function. Katapady Shanker Poojari, President of Udupi ZP, Udupi TP Chief Devdas Hebbar, Dr Vijay Ballal, Managing Trustee of Ambalpady Temple and others were present on the occasion.
