Belthangady:  Zilla Panchayat Executive Engineer Satyanarayana has informed that approval has been granted for 12 projects at a cost of Rs 75 lakhs under the Integrated Tribal Development Programme. He said the budget estimates of the project are also ready.

The officer gave this information at the progress review meet held at the ZP mini hall on August 8, Wednesday under the presidentship of ZP Chief Executive Officer of KN Vijayaprakash.

The officer informed that a sum of Rs 20 lakh has been earmarked for the construction of a bridge to the Annaru Colony and another Rs 20 lakhs for roads in Naravi, Kutlur, Alape Forest Gate,  and othe places.

Officials also informed the meeting that a proposal to sanction Rs 213 lakhs under Girijan development Scheme to provide basic amenities to tribals, has also been submitted.

The ZP CEO has directed the officials to implement all the projects within the given time frame.

Shivaramegowda, ZP Deputy Secretary was also present.
