Mangalore: The Church of St Lawrence in Bondel celebrated the Feast of St Lawrence on August 10, Friday. Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore, blessed the occasion. He was the chief celebrant of the festive mass.

The Bishop also released an audio CD of St Lawrence. The songs are composed by Fr Valerian Mendonca and Fr Clement Mascarenhas.

The benefactors were honoured by presenting them with candles by Fr Andrew D’Souza. Parish Priest of Bondel Church.

Fr Valerian Mendonca was honoured for the great efforts put in by him to bring out the CD.

Prior to the feast, a nine day Novena was also held.
