Mangalore: An awareness campaign on Malaria and Dengue jointly organised by the Mangalore City Corporation and Dakshina Kannada Hotels and Restaurant Association was flagged off at Hotel Woodlands in Mangalore on Friday by City Mayor Gulzar Banu.
In her address, the mayor called upon various organizations to join this drive to make the city free from Malaria and Dengue.
Deputy Mayor Amitha Kala, distributed Mosquito nets to hotel workers. Bhasker Chandra Shetty, President of the Standing Committee on Health inaugurated a mobile dengue checkup camp.
Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, President of Dakshina Kannada hotels and restaurant associations, Dr Sudarshan, health officer, Srikanth Rao and others were present on the occasion.
