Mangalore: St Agnes College in Mangalore celebrated Librarians’ Day also known as SR Ranganathan Day on August 11, Saturday. An exhibition of rare books of pre-independence times was arranged to coincide with the occasion. The function was inaugurated by Anand K, Assistant Vice President of Udayavani Media Network.

In his address, Anand appreciated the wide collection of rare books and exhorted youngsters to read books which are treasure house of knowledge.

Dr Sr Prem D’Souza, Principal of the college presided over the function.Dr Vishala BK,librarian, Sr  Mariakripa, local manager, Sr Jeswina, Sr Marie Evelyn  and others were present.
