Bangalore: The High Court on Thursday has stayed by three weeks the hearing in the Lokayukta Court pertaining to the case against higher education minister CT Ravi and his family members with regard to purchasing site unauthorisedly from the State Housing Board.
The High Court which took up for hearing the petition filed by CT Ravi seeking cancellation of the hearing in the Lokayukta court, has adjourned the hearing after staying hearing in the Lokayukta court by three weeks.
ZP member from Chikmagalur R Devi Prasad had filed a private petition in the Lokayukta court alleging that Ravi and his family members, by creating fake documents had unauthorisedly purchased a 29,998,80 square feet site worth about Rs 5 crores which has been reserved for public purposes in Chikmagalur, in the name of Anjaneya Education Society.
The court had directed the Lokayukta police to probe and the latter had filed a ‘B’ report stating there were no evidences to prove the claims. The ‘B’ Report was rejected and a re-probe ordered. Even the second ‘B’ report was rejected.
