Kasargod: A teacher of a private tuition centre was on August 20, Monday arrested for sexually harassing minor girls attending his tuition centre at Kanhangad.

The accused Mohammad Askar (23) ran a tuition centre named ‘Chapter’ and is also an MBBS student of Periyaram Medical College.  He hails from Balla Kadappu.

He has been accused of sexually abusing the girls in his centre aged between 14-16 years and one of them is also learnt to be pregnant.

The Coaching Centre conducted classes every Sunday. He could be arrested following a complaint lodged by one of his students.There is a suspicion that

many more minors might have fallen victim to his lust.

Askar has been remanded to judicial custody.
