Mangalore : Bantwal MLA and district congress president B Ramanath Rai inaugurated the Voters enrollment division at District Congress office on August 24, Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that DK is the first to inaugurate computerized enrollment division in the Vidhan Sabha constituency.
He also said that the voter’s enrollment must be done successfully, since in few years the state has seen the names of some voters getting disappeared from the voters list. Hence this is an opportunity to identify and enroll the eligible voters.
The DKCC had observed the 68th Birth Anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi recently; hence the congress party is following his footstep and continuing the work of enrolling more youths into the party.
Congress will further start the National Students Union of India (NSUI) organisation in all the colleges in the district, which will build the strong bond between the students and politics.
Congress leader B A Moideen said that enrolling voters is a good programme. Most of the time the students who do not have their names in the voters list do not have right to speak, but in this every voters will have a registered document.
This shows the commitment of the congress party and their concern towards the poor voters.
Congress leaders like MA Abhaychandra Jain, Mithun Rai, Praveenchandra Alva, Ivan D’Souza, Sadashiv Ullal, Nagendra Kumar, Kodijal Ibrahim, T K Sudhir, Kallige Tharnath Shetty and others were present.
