Mysore: Four persons lost their lives when a portion of the Lansdowne Building, a century old building of the town collapsed on the evening f August 25, Saturday.
A DTP centre functioned in the ground floor and the staff and a few customers were inside when the incident took place at around 6 pm. Heavy rains is said to be the cause of the collapse.
The victims were identified as Gnanaprakash, the tenant who was running the DTP centre; Anand, his brother; Annapurna, an employee; and Lokesh, a customer.
District in-charge Minister S.A. Ramdas visited the spot and announced compensation of Rs. 1 lakh to the family members of the deceased.
