Udupi : The incessant rains that has been lashing the Udupi district since the past two days has left several low lying areas inundated. Three villages have been worst affected. Several rivers in the district are overflowing whole low laying areas in Uppoor, Matapady and Chantaru in Brahmavar are facing the brunt. Even in Udupi TMC limits, several areas like Gundibailu and Bailakere are facing problems.

Several paddy fields  have also been badly affected.

In Kundapur too  the rains have caused much damage due to water clogging in fields and on roads. Gangolli, Byndoor , Koteshwara, Kumbhashi and other areas  too are facing problems.
