Bangalore:  Abdul Ahad hailing from Puttige in Moodbidri is the new CID Superintendent of Police of Karnataka.  Thirty five year old Ahad in an IAS officer of 2005 batch. He was earlier serving as Lokayukta DySP.

Abdul Ahad has served several places like Raichur, Chikmagalur, and Soraba and has even served as SP in Bangalore.

He is also the recipient of the Chief Minister’s gold medal for his brave combat with Naxals. He was the DySP of Lokayukta in Bangalore for the past one year and has now been promoted as CID SP at a very young age.
