Mangalore: The BJP Yuva Morcha staged a protest in front of the DC office in Mangalore on August 30, Thursday against the coal scam and also to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the issue.
District Yuva Morcha President Kishore Puttur, who addressed the agitators said a two-day nationwide protest will be organized by the Yuva Morcha demanding the ouster of the UPA government. He alleged that the Congress has looted the nation of crores of rupees.
Sunil Kumar, president of the state unit of the BJP Yuva Morcha, described the coal scam as the biggest scam which the nation has ever seen.
The agitators while asking the PM to step down, demanded a thorough probe into the case. An effigy of the prime minister was also burnt on the occasion.
