Udupi : The 158th birth anniversary of Sri Narayana Guru, the great saint philosopher, was  celebrated at Padubidri on August 31, Friday by  the Padubidri Billawa Association. Prior to the function, a statue of Sri Narayana Guru was taken out in a procession from the Bala Ganapathi Gudi to the Narayana Guru Mandir.

Y Sudhir Kumar, President of the Association,Ashok Poojary,Secretary, Shekar K Karkera, Y Vishwanath, Neetha Gururaj, Balakrishna Salian, Chandrashekar, Shanthi and others were present on the occasion.

Various programmes were organized to mark the occasion.
