Kasargod: : P.S. Mohammed Sagir  is the new District Collector of Kasargod. He took charge from VN Jithendran on September 6, Thursday. Jithendran has been transferred to Pathanamthitta.

Sagir  who is from Kodungalloor in Trissure was earlier serving as the Director of Higher Secondary Education. He has even the experience of serving as Revenue Divisional Officer in Kanhangad and as  Additional District Magistrate in Kozikhode and Palakkad.
