Mangalore :  A house at Landlinks  Township was burgled on Saturday night and thieves have decamped with gold jewellery worth Rs 2.5 lakhs apart from  a cash of Rs 50,000. The theft took place when the house owner Raghuram  Rao had been to Puttur.

A neighbour who happened to notice the door open, informed Rao who rushed to Mangalore only to find the cash and valuables stolen.

The thieves had not laid hands into any other valuables in the house except the cash and gold. This theft case has brought in some amount of sense of insecurity among residents of Land Links where houses are located in close proximity.
