Udupi:  A biker rider and  his nine year old pillion rider sustained injuries when  their bike was knocked down by a speeding city bus at Nellikatte on the morning of September 10, Monday.

The mishap took place when Girish Acharya(27) was taking his nephew Savan(9) to his school at Alevoor. The bus was proceeding towards Moodubelle from Udupi .Reckless driving by the bus driver is said to be the cause of the mishap. The condition of Girish is said to be critical.

Shirva police have registered a case.
