Bangalore : State JD(S) President HD Kumaraswamy has said that the party would ask actress Pooja Gandhi who was recently made the JD(S) Youth Wing Chief to disassociate herself from the party.

This statement has come from the former chief minister close on the heels of the remarks made by BJP leader Ayanur Manjunath on the actress. Manjunath had said that the “JDS had the queen of Dandupalya as its leader.”

Kumaraswamy also said that the actor had voluntarily joined the party and added the party does not need any film star to build the party.

It may be mentioned here that Pooja has  played the lead role as one of the gang members in the recently released film Dandupalya.

Kumaraswamy also  demanded Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar to drop R Ashoka from the ministry for his inability to end the transport strike and prevent inconvenience to people.
