Kundapur: It was a lucky escape from the jaws of death for eight persons who were travelling in a Tavera car.  They all escaped unhurt even when the car had a head-on collision with a truck at Mullikatte near Trasi here on September 16, Sunday. The accident took place when they were on way to Byndoor while the truck was proceeding towards Mangalore from Goa.

The mishap is learnt to have taken place after the truck driver lost control over the vehicle. Gangolli police have registered a case.
