Mumbai : A Mumbai hotelier hailing from Olakadu in Udupi, was shot at by unidentified assailants near Infiniti Mall, Andheri West on Wednesday night at around 10 pm when Shetty was travelling in his car.

It is learnt Shetty was hit on the shoulder and has been admitted to the nearby Kokilaben Hospital where his condition is said to be stable.

The Amboli police have registered an attempt to murder case and the cause of the attempt on life is not known.

Sources said Shetty was close to several police officials including Dayananda Nayak.  He owns several hotels, pubs and shopping complexes.
