Mangalore: Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore inaugurated the two-day  district-level primary and high school-level sports meet jointly organized by the Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat, Public Education Department and the Urva Parish Educational Society, at NITK grounds, Suratkal, on October 10, Wednesday.

Fr Victor D’Mello, Urwa parish priest, Mayor Gulzar Banu, Dr Mohan Alva, Chairman of Alva’s Education Trust and Grace Pinto, Managing Director, Ryan International Group of Institutions, Fr Wilson D’Souza, Secretary, Catholic Education Board and others were present as chief guests.

Students presented an attractive  march past. Cultural programmes too followed. Students from schools in Puttur, Sullia, Belthangady, Bantwal, Mangalore Rural and Mangalore city were present.
