Ullal:  The Kalladi Vittal Shetty Seva Trust started at the Ira Kundavu Sri Somanatheshwara Temple in memory of renowned Yakshagana artiste Kalladi Vittal Shetty was inaugurated by N Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University.
In his address, Vinay Hegde appreciated the contributions of Late Vital Shetty to Yakshagana.

Prof. ML Samaga, President of Karnataka Yakshagana Bayalata Academy, presided over the function. He said the Academy was working towards the popularization as well as promotion of the art.

Vasudev Asranna, Priest and Hereditary Trustee of Kateel Sri Durga Parameshwari Temple and Lakshminarayana Asranna, hereditary Priest, blessed the occasion.

Kadri Navaneetha Shetty, Member of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, delivered the commemoration address. Gangadhar Rai Bolanturguttu, Managing Trustee of Ira Kundavu Sri Somanatheshwara Temple and others were present.

Rama Kulal Dasanadka, senior Yakshagana artiste of Kateel mela, was honoured on the occasion.
