Mangalore: The III JMFC Court has deferred for hearing to Tuesday, the bail application filed by journalist Naveen Soorinje of Kasturi Channel who has been arrested in connection with the Morning Mist homestay attack. Advocate Satish Bantwal filed the bail petition on behalf of Soorinje.
TR Jagannath, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Investigation Officer, submitted the investigative report before the court.
Meanwhile, several leaders including District Congress President Ramanatha Rai, Congress leader Ivan D’Souza, DYFI and CPIM leaders met Naveen Soorinje in prison and expressed solidarity with him.
Rai said Naveen has been arrested with malicious intentions.
