Mangalore : The new commissioners’ office will be established soon at the cost of Rs 3 crore at SP Ground, said Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh.
He was speaking at the press meet held at his office held on August 18, Wednesday. He also said that the architectural work of the proposed new Police Commissionarete building will be handed over to Simon and Associates, Udupi/ Bangalore.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa will lay the foundation stone of the building which will be held on August 23, Sunday, he said.
Speaking on the recruitment of staffs, Commissioner said that, around 19, 500 applications have come for the vacancy of 200 posts. The recruitment process cannot be conducted in one place, hence it will be held at Nehru Maidan, NMPT and Mangala Stadium. Various officials will conduct the recruitment process in three places simultaneously.
There process will comprise of Central Entrance Test and the physical test. This time 90 percent of the application has been received online, he informed.
